• District of Chilliwack is expanding the existing landfill up-slope to provide 9 years of extra capacity, valued at $17 million.

• Design drawings, tender specifications and construction inspection provided by SHA and Thurber Engineering.

• Engineering design included leachate collection system, groundwater interception system, surface water diversion system and earthworks.

• Slope design involved protecting Teskey Way, a new road constructed by the District of Chilliwack directly up-slope of the landfill.
